This Privacy Policy explains how Vibe Index ("we," "our," or the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information. Our App is designed to measure and aggregate user sentiments ("vibes") based on various inputs, including location and user demographic data.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:

• Account Data: Email address and User ID for authentication (managed via Supabase).
• Location Data: Approximate and/or precise location. This is used to create aggregated regional insights (e.g., calculating the average "Vibe Index" in specific areas like a city or).
• User Interactions: In-app messages, "tips" (internal virtual coins), sent between users.
• Contact Info: Physical address (only if you voluntarily provide it for merchandise delivery).
• Profile Info: Birth date (used for age-appropriate features).

3. Data Usage and Aggregation
The information we collect is used for:

• App Functionality: To process virtual rewards, messages, and internal transactions. We use your location data to generate aggregated insights. For example, we may analyze data to determine that the average "vibe" in a specific neighborhood is 75. These public insights do not identify individual users.
• Personalization: To manage user roles (e.g. ”users”, "partners") and interactions.
• Order Fulfillment: To deliver merchandise if requested by the user.
• Security: To prevent fraud and ensure a safe environment.

4. Virtual Currency
The App uses internal virtual coins for interactions.

• These coins have no real-world monetary value.
• We do not process real-money transactions, credit card details, or bank information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion (Anonymization Policy)
We respect your right to be forgotten. Users can delete their account via the App Settings or via our Request Form.
Upon account deletion, we perform the following anonymization process to protect your privacy while preserving historical aggregate data:

• Name: Permanently deleted.
• Email: Irreversibly hashed to prevent identification.
• Birth Date: Randomly shifted by +/- 10 days to remove specific identifiers while maintaining general demographic statistics.

6. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for secure backend database management and authentication. Your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely.
